Kokomo nearing its end.

My hometown is in Kokomo Indiana. Its a small town that revloves around the Chrysler manufacturing plant. Lately, Chrysler hasn't been doing so well and as a result the cities income has reduced. As a result, Kokomo is now America's 3rd most dying town. Out of all of the towns in the U.S., Kokomo is number 3. I hope that your hometown doesnt show up on this list...because that would suck.

End of semester=uber suckage.

I am really not a fan of the end of this semester. I just found out that I owe a bunch of money to BSU and on top of that I have to study for exams while trying to write papers. It would be nice if the semester just ended and I didnt have to worry about anything. Oh well I will just have to get through one more week and a few days until break. Until then...I will be studying and working my arse off.

BSU: Undeafeated...and afraid???

So wtf is up with Ball State turning down playing Boise State?! This game would actually show if BSU is seriously good and what do they do?...turn it down. Wow this is the biggest and probably only chance that the team will ever get in the schools history to beat a descent school and we shy away. This game would get so much attention from not only fans, but networks. Not only would it get national attention, but it would give the actual school attention. It just blows my mind that Ball State wont play a good team when put up to the challenge. Yeah they are undefeated, but they shyed away from playing a bowl game. You should play every chance you are given and when you are given a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play a BOWL GAME you should take it. Sure they are undeafeated, but they lost a fantastic chance to play in a game that matters most to not only the players, but the fans.

Back 2 Skoo...

So I just got back from break and it sucks. I had a really nice break however. I spent about 97.63% of it with my girlfriend and all we did was sleep and eat. I really hope that these next few weeks go by fast because I really am getting tired of school.

Thanksgiving break....

I am soo ready for Thanksgiving break. I just got through the worst week at BSU so far. I lost all of my money in my account because I had to give it all to the Admissions Office and had to take 3 exams...yay. I just want to get through the last two days at Ball State so I can go home, enjoy my tome off, and eat some turkey.

Facebook to be SHUT DOWN?! WTF?!?

It looks like popular social networking website known as "Facebook" will no longer be in our internet community. A federal lawsuit has been charged against the creator Mark Zuckerburg for copyright infringement, fraud, and misappropriation of trade secrets. The allegations were filed when fellow Harvard classmates accused Zuckerberg for "stealing" the idea from them.
It really sucks that Facebook is being wiped from the internet, over 31 million people have an account. The official news story says facebook will be shut down my January 2009.

Weekend...

Overall I had a really good weekend. I spent most of it just laying around with my girlfriend in her dorm at ISU. We went to this local coffee joint where we got Chunkie Monkey Frappachinos which were wicked good. Her punkass roommate decided to go home for the weekend so we actually had the luxury of watching a movie without having to deal with her constant volume and smell. On Sunday I left and watched the Colts scrape out a win over the Texans and played football with my little brother. And now that the weekend is over I have to prepare for 3 exams....fun.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?

I really miss this show. Are You Afraid of the Dark pretty much was the foundation to my love of horror movies. Its too bad that this show is off the air now. I really would like to get the DVD box set of all of the seasons so I can watch them whenever I want to. I know that it wont be nearly as scary now, but it will bring back some good memories from when I was a young lad. Maybe one day a show like this will reappear and my thirst for really cheap, fake scary TV shows will be quenched.

3D Doritos?????

So what ever happened to 3D Doritos? I don't understand how a product that amazing could not sell well. Seriously, these things were so good. The fact that the chip was 3 dimensional made the chip delicious. I'm positive that if they remarketed the chip again, it would sell well. I guess that you don't realize how good something is until its gone...3D Doritos come back to us.

Blitz the League 2....in a league of its own.

My friends and I rented this football game called Blitz the League 2. We were bored and the game looked pretty appealing given the state that we were in. So we play this game and were shocked by how violent and outrageous it was. This game was centered around simply playing dirty. If you didn't break the bones of the opposing team than you werent doing your job. There is even a "dirty hit" button that you can use and it ranges from punching them in the face to taking off their helmet and smacking them with it. I am going to say that little kids should not be allowed to play this because it puts football in a very dark light. There is nothing positive that this game brings whatsoever. You are supposed to gamble on games to win money, so you can buy "juice" (steroids) to give your players that little boost that they need. Not only are you supposed to gamble, but the act of sportsmanship in this game ceases to exist. After you tackle a player you can choose to punch them while they are getting up while sayin such phrases as: "Keep yo bitch ass down!" while the other player is screaming in pain. Blitz the League 2 is a terrible game that is wrong on all levels....but for some reason I can't stop playing it.

English 101 Course Goals
1) I understand that inquiry is the beginning to all writing and am comfortable in this goal. In my papers I try to formulate better questions to ask the reader and myself
2) I understand that inquiry occurs naturally both visually and verbally.
3) I understand that of you do not have a solid connection with inquiry and your audience then the audience will not care what you are writing about. It is important to have good points with supporting facts.
4) It is important to be able to connect the audience with inquiry and argument. If not then your credibility goes down.

Saw V

I am fully aware that as the Saw movies go on the reviews get worse and worse. The latest installment, Saw V, hit theaters today. The reviews were nothing short of spectacular. Many people said that it was boring like the others and that the plot was was too complex. I don't watch Saw movies for the plot line, they are waaaay to confusing for me. I go to see Saw movies to see people get ripped to pieces. I'm sorry if I like watching people get rigged up to these jank machines and get brutally killed, but I find that wicked entertaining. So I am going to see Saw V either this weekend or the next, and I know that its going to be bad....but at least I know that I will get to see random people get tore up by Jigsaw's homeade death devices.

The luck of the Irish....

So I today I was finally convinced that I am a lucky person by nature. For the past three Madden games that I have played I have won by blind luck. I went from losing really bad the whole game to winning at the last second by a field goal. I don't even understand it but when I play people I make them mad because of my luck. I can't even understand it but the only reason why I think I am so lucky is because I'm freakin Irish.

Monday 10-13-08

Jacob read his log. We then gathered in our "circle of love" and critically reviewed Lacy's and Kaitlin's papers. Kaitlin wrote about how visitors should not be accompanied by students and Lacy wrote about how the one of the smoking areas should not be so close to our dorm.

Fall Break!!!

I am quite excited about fall break. I am going to go to ISU and visit my girlfriend. We are going to go to this haunted asylum that is there and look for some ghost stuff. Other than that I am planning on sleeping the rest of the weekend to catch up on some much needed rest!

Letters to the Editor...

It took me forever to find a topic but I think that I am going to write about the bike issue here at Ball State. They are all over the place. They are constantly zippin around and could potentially cause problems for students who walk.

Victories on the couch...

I room with Jacob Taylor. And we both love the Madden games like really bad. Jacob also is a really bad loser. Over the past two days we have played Madden games and i have beat him by only a few points. This past win was one of the best wins ever. The entire game he was gloating about how he is going to win and talkin all kinds of smack that i cant even blog about. He had this huge lead until i came back by intercepting the ball. I score at the last second on my final drive up the field ending the last quarter and starting overtime. I won the coin toss and proceeded to make my way up the field through carefully called plays that Jacob was unable to defend. I eventually made it to field goal range and went to the game winning field goal. I made it perfectly and end the game making Jacob infuriated. I simply looked at him and smiled making him even more angry. I have celibrated many victories on fields, but some of my favorite victories are the ones that take place on a couch with Madden 09 playing on the T.V. Sorry Jacob...maybe next time....

Recent pointless observations....

Okay so we are well into the school year and so far everything has been going pretty smooth. I did however notice a few pointless things that happen in our english class every time. Our professor Casey McArdle likes to say the word HILARIOUS which someone finally pointed out today. I'm not kidding he says it at least five times a class. Another thing that he always does is that he likes to make the noise "Wah" whenever he encounters a small problem with anything (Jacob Taylor origionally pointed it out). It's really funny to listen for because he does it every class. Today i counted 3 "Wahs" and the day before i counted 4. I am not doing this to be mean in any way, shape, or form. I am simply saying that everyone has certain ticks and phrases that they are always good for saying or doing. McArdle has his, you have yours and I have mine. Every person seems to like to say certain words or phrases. I have no idea as to why we do it, but it is pretty funny to listen for once we pick up on it.

Unexpected weekend

So all of last week my girlfriend who goes to ISU was talking about this gigantor surprise she was going to get me. She told all of my friends what it was except for me so for the entire week they kept dropping hints and clues as to what it was. She kept telling me that I was going to get it on Friday.
So Friday comes along and I don't see anything in the mailbox. It got to be pretty late and I started thinking that it would never come. Then I'm sitting in my dorm and I see a letter that slides from under my door. I causally walk over to the door and read the note. It says "Andrew, open your door!" I open my door and there is my girlfriend standing there! I was so shocked that i didn't know what to say. Unfortunately, the only word I could say was "what are you doing here?"...I know that it sort of killed the surprise but i really was astonished to see her standing there.
We hung out the whole weekend and we went to this Chinese buffet joint where we ate sushi and octopus for the first time....by the way eating the octopus was really sketchy and I will never eat that crap ever again in my life.

Tom Brady...

So Tom Brady suffered a season ending injury the other day and I couldnt be any happier. The Colt's now don't have to worry about the Patriots this year that is unless, Matt Castle surprises us all (which he won't). There is no way that they are going to make it to the playoffs this year and that leaves me a very happy Colts fan....minus the loss to the Bears.

BRAIN STORMING!

So i really am not sure what to write about for my significant object but i have some ideas: My truck, my shoes, my backpack, or my i pod.  I think out of all of those i use my backpack more though....i mean i pretty much take it everywhere, and use it all the time. I also have had it all through high school too so i think i may write about that for my significant object.

Killing Jim Carrey...

Okay so im just going to set this up for you. I usually have some pretty crazy dreams. Like i dont mean to brag....but they are pretty much awesome. But lately a haven't had any that i can remember....im in sort of a dream drought i guess you could say. But the dream i had last night definitley got me out of the dry spell i was in. So in my dream i get a call from my good friend jacob (yes, the jacob in our english class) Jacob proceeds to tell me that Aaron (my other good friend who is in fact in the same english class as well) is having a mongo huge birthday party and that we are all invited...woot.  So i drive to aaron's house where i see several other party goers waiting for the party to begin.  A few minutes after arriving aaron tells us that we are going to all spend the night in this giant fort in the middle of a field. So we all go to this fort and im not going to lie...this fort that we were supposed to stay the night in was uber creepy. Im talking rotting wood, bloodstains....the works.  So everyone (including Aaron) flips out and decides to bail out on the birthday party and go home.  So that leaves me by myself.  And i decide in my infinite wisdom to stay in this fort overnight because after all its just an old creepy fort where people we probably slaughtered in...no biggie.  So night falls...and by that i mean the sun did one of those time laspse things so it went from the afternoon to midnight in oh i dont know...4 seconds. And once it got dark all hell broke loose. Like i hear all these strange noises and stuff at the base of the fort, almost like something is being summoned.  I look down to see what awaits me.  And looking back up at me is....Jim Carrey as the Riddler. So i dont know wether to run or wait for him because i am in fact a huge Jim Carry fan.  But the 12' butcher's knife i saw holding in his hand quickly persuaded me to try to escape from the fort.  So Jim Carry finally gets up to the top and i am stuck up there.  He keeps laughing and doing these crazy Jim Carrey faces (which i find hilarious) while he inches closer with this knife...then all of the sudden...i hear a horn. I look down and its my girlfriend in this wicked awesome car.  "Andrew, jump into the car!" she screams as she revs the engine.  So i jump down into the car and look up as i see Jim Carrey scream and turn into a flaming skeleton and then watch the fort blow up.  I felt kind of bad that I ended Jim Carrey's career and his life but it was either me or him....and to be honest his movies have kinda been suckin it up lately so i felt no remorse.  So i ended my dream drought by killing Jim Carrey....which, in turn ended his bad movie drought. A win win situation if you ask me
